Ursula’s love and compassion for animals has always been great but having always owned cat’s it wasn’t until late in life she was gifted her first dog and discovered her inate natural ability with canines. Now in Pet’s heaven, Maltese Terrier, Champagne went on location doing a TV soapie, appeared in TV ads and featured on billboards all over Melbourne – all by the time she was 12 months old. The animal casting agent said they had never used such a young pooch so successfully. With her next dogs, Lhasa’s Bliss & Sugar, Ursula joined the VISPAT team visiting in-patients at the Royal Women’s Hospital and they were so well behaved it was the first time they allowed two dogs to visit in tandem. From there , destiny called and Ursula opened her home to visiting pets. After 13 years she is now also skilled in grooming and dog training. Her latest passion is researching and recommending the best foods and health care for the wellbeing and logevity of pets.
Dana and her adopted stray “Foxy”.
Dana’s calm, confident style makes her an excellent communicator with dogs. After working in healthcare and rehabilitation she is turning her caring and compassionate nature to follow her passion and work with pets. Dana is also using her experience as an accredited personal trainer to keep up with fitter and more energetic dogs.
Sara with “Ralphy”
Sara’s background is in childcare, working as an assistant in a kindergarten and also a child care centre. She is passionate about children, dogs and the outdoors so it is a natural stepping stone for Sara to transition to pet care, turning her nurturing and patient disposition to the care of our furry breed of children. With plans to develop her skills in the new year by enrolling in the Cert. Instructor course with Dog Trainers Aust Sara is working toward being a Love Your Pet Licensee.
Sally – and LYP resident Rex’s “Misty & Claude”
With a background as a certified accountant Sally ditched the stresses of the corporate world and now specialises in keeping books for non for profit organisations and small business. In her spare time Sally backs up Ursula with pet minding, dog walking and doing the book-keeping and is indispensible after spending a resident six years at Love Your Petc. She has a deep affection for all our furry visitors, in particular the cats who always gravitate to her and take over her bed… we believe she was a cat in her past life!
Alison with – “Oscar & Lucy”
Alison is an animal lover from childhood, growing up in the country with a menagerie of animals including dogs, cats, pet duck, cockatoo, horses, chickens and lambs.
With years in the healthcare industry, Alison does some of the administrative and marketing side of several small businesses, including "Love Your Pet". She can sometimes be found in the office trying to do the accounts with the assistance of a the resident cats.
