Photo of RupertOur dearly loved Pembroke Welsh Corgi Rupert passed away peacefully on the 14th November 2011. He was a wonderful member of our family and had a very sweet and gentle nature. We have many grandchildren and never once did him ever growl or show any anger towards them, even when he was being disturbed or annoyed. Living in an apartment meant that our daily activities evolved around Rupert’s needs. He liked to go for walks, eat his meals and go to bed at certain times. He disliked changes in his routine. Rupert loved going in the car to Rathdowne St where he would have the froth off my latte and have a little of my muffin. We did so much together. One of his great joys was when we were going away he had the opportunity to stay with Ursula, Sally and friends. He was always sad when he saw our suitcases but would brighten up immediately when I started to pack up his futon etc and tell him that he is going to Ursula’s home. Rupert would rush to the door in anticipation. When we arrived at Ursula’s he would disappear to join all his friends, with never a care or backward glance to us. We always left there knowing that Rupert was happy and secure. This relieved our anxieties as Rupert was our baby and we loved him so much. We miss him desperately but the wonderful memories of Rupert will live in our hearts forever. Susan, Parkville

Thank you so much for giving Penny (our ten year old Jack Russell X) such a wonderful time whilst we were away for 17 days.
Although we made you aware that Penny had a behavioural issue, we nevertheless hoped that she would be perfectly behaved whilst she was in your care – she looks so sweet ( butter would not melt in her mouth!) Unfortunately, you informed us on our return that Penny had misbehaved very badly on one of her early walks with you and that you took it upon yourself to modify her behaviour by retraining Penny. Within a few days she was well behaved again due to our training. So far, since we have been back, she has not misbehaved again and your training has been invaluable. We were going to go to another personal pet trainer for help when we got back (we had already been to one without success), however, whilst you were minding Penny, as an added bonus to your wonderful care of our dog you also retrained her. We are very grateful. Whilst we were away we had a wonderful relaxing time because we knew that Penny was in the most professional and caring hands. We trusted you implicitly with Penny and had every confidence in your ability and care which you had shown on the couple of meetings before our holiday. At home Penny sleeps in the laundry, at Ursula’s home she slept in her bedroom. Lucky Penny! Thank you again Ursula, I am going to recommend you to all my friends with pets and I feel lucky to have found you, for now I feel we can be a little more flexible with our plans, because we have someone reliable and caring to look after our Penny. Photo of and Tinka and TaylorMy two dogs, Tinka and Taylor, are my mates and the three of us are as close as a family could be. In the past, I have suffered extreme pangs of conscience if I have ever had to leave them at kennels when I went away. For the first time, I hardly e er thought of them when I left them in Ursula’s care. The environment she provided and the way she interacted with my dogs when we met her for the first time was amazing! I couldn’t have done any better – in other words, she obviously cared about them so much that I had no doubts leaving my little furry friends with her. When I returned nearly 3 weeks later, my dogs greeted me happily but not frantically. They greet me more effusively when I’ve been away from them for only 5 hours!! Ursula had almost done too good a job! Tinka and Taylor were relaxed, their coats were shiny, they were well fed and exercised and had learned to live with Ursula’s cat. I had expected them to have killed it by the end of the first day, but not so!. Just last weekend, I took them over there for an overnight stay. As we pulled up outside Ursula’s home, Tinka recognised where we were. She gave a howl of excitement and without waiting for me to open the car door, she jumped out the window and rushed over to Ursula’s gate. I would recommend anyone to leave their precious friend (dog or cat) with Ursula. She won’t let either your pet or you down. Now, if that’s not a good endorsement, I don’t know what is!

Hi Ursula, Daisy has really become a dream puppy since staying with you. Thanks so much.

Thank you so much for all your love and care of Harry. I can’t tell you what a pleasure it has been dealing with you and how reassuring it is to know that Harry has a second home around the corner! Also, I would like to say a very special thank you for all the effort you put into the issue of Harry’s skin problem. He seems to be a bit better with the supplies on hand and every last bag of Beneful has been banished from the house never to return! Your colleague Clare delivered some wonderful food for Harry which he seems to enjoy. So again thank you for the contact. Great for me to have the option of home delivery too with this frantic life around here. Much appreciation again.

Just had to let you know that I have just walked two very well behaved westies to heel, side by side. I am very impressed, thank you so much, you really are magical with dogs. I will continue the training, and contact you if we need a refresher course. Thanks again.

Photo of John Shihtzu YummyUrsula is a fabulous lady and I trust her completely to care for my dog Yummy when I’m away. I can recommend her entirely. Yummy is very happy when staying with Ursula and he is groomed and cared for to perfection. More importantly than my satisfaction – Yummy likes staying with her. P.S. I’ll look forward to meeting your dog next time I stay with Ursula – woof!”

I have been using ‘Love Your Pet Minding’ for the past 10 months. I have found Ursula to be extremely professional, loving, and caring with my cat Bella. I would highly recommend this company to all my clients and friends. Margie, Fitzroy

Having just picked up my puppy (Ziggy) after a two week stay with you, I just had to put pen to paper to thank you for the rather amazing personal care your organisation had taken to ensure his stay was as comfortable as it would have been at home. Having explained to you at the outset that my puppy and I shared most things, eg bed, food, daytime hours, imagine my delight in finding a minding organisation that treated him the same way. Over the years of placing several pets with several minding services, kennels etc, I had found that on all occasions the pet came home a little the worse for wear, either physically or mentally. Not so with your Love Your Pet Minding Co. Again, thank you, I will most certainly use your organisation again and quite possibly soon. I will not hesitate to recommend your service to my colleagues and friends.

Our boy Buster’s a fussy fellow, and we worried about him fretting if we left him with somebody else, but he loved staying with Ursula and her gang. His affection for them was obvious when he licked the whole family goodbye (even the cat). He was particularly fond of sleeping on the bed (because now he insists on it at home). We never thought it possible, but now believe somebody spoiled Buster more than us. We’ll happily send him on holidays with Ursula again. It’s a much better option for little canine people than a boarding kennel. Buster was obviously well loved and cared for – even got a beard trim!

“Hi, my name is ‘Benny’. Recently my mum went away and brought me to Ursula’s place. At first I wasn’t happy being left on my own but, boy, hat a weekend I had. I made a whole new gang of friends, like ‘Bliss’, ‘Sugar’ and ‘Harry’, and was even reunited with one dog friend I knew from the park. ure beats being at home on your own! My new gang and I hung out and played all day then Ursula would take us for lots of walks in the park and treat us all the time. Sorry mum, if you’re reading this, but you’re up for some stiff competition when it comes to fun and hanging out. Luckily I’ve been back to Ursula’s a few times since. Sometimes mum takes me walking in the park across from Ursula’s and I run to her gate and look longingly in. Anyway, I recommend Ursula’s place to all you pooches out there. It gets more than five stars from me!

Photo of Dougal Porscha PoustieMiss Porscha was 14 and suffering from early stages of doggie dementia, and Dougal was a very cute 14 weeks when we had to go away . I was loathe to leave either dog as they are both so special. Luckily we found Ursula and after meeting both dogs at her home she said of course she would have them for a week. It was with some trepidation that I dropped them off at Ursula’s house. Porscha is timid and silly with other dogs, I have never seen her so calm in a strange environment, almost immediately. And Dougal well he thought he had gone to puppy heaven. 2 dogs and a great cat, who acts like a dog to play with! In fact I think Dougal bonded with Misty instantly! Poor misty! Porscha was treated in a beautiful calm manner with great consideration for her age, and Dougal was loved and trained to walk on the lead properly, even though he had so much excitement at Ursula’s that he forgot his Toilet training! (much to my dismay!) Nothing was a bother for Ursula and I felt so at ease by the time I left them and only rang once to check on them such was my confidence. Dougal and Porscha have been back since that first visit, and I now look forward to catching up with Ursula, Bliss and Sugar and especially Misty in the future.

Photo of sophieWe have used the services of Ursula many times over the course of the past 18 months. We have total confidence in trusting our most treasured family members, Ella and Sophie, into her care and going away with peace of mind knowing that they’ll be treated with the same special attention as they are used to at home. We particularly appreciate the personalised care they receive from Ursula. For the period of time they stay with her, they become an extension of her own family and enjoy going out to tennis, walks in the park, etc. We feel like we’re dropping Ella and Sophie off at a friend’s place. After a horrible experience with one of the “better” boarding kennels around Melbourne, we are so grateful to have found Ursula and highly recommend her services.

My young dog Harry was a handful of nervous, boisterous energy, tearing at the leash when we go for walks and making life a complete stress for the whole family! We were having some building work done so Harry went to stay with Ursula for two days. I came to collect him and found a calm, relaxed dog that was walking at heel! I still find it hard to believe its possible! Life at home is so much more enjoyable now. Ursula is a miracle-worker. Thank you

Photo of David FavelWe have been using ‘Love Your Pet Minding’ to look after our dogs whilst away since 2007, and cannot recommend them enough for the incredible care, love and training provided. Although he runs up the driveway and can’t wait to see Ursula everytime we drop them off, one of our boys ‘Dougal’ can be a little anxious when we leave. But when it comes time to pick them up he doesn’t want to go anywhere! They always come back behaving so much better, especially on walks, after they have stayed with Ursula. They love staying with Ursula and her gang!  In 2010 when we introduced a new dog, ‘Bear’ to our home, Ursula was also incredibly helpful with training, coming to our house on the first day just to make sure ‘Dougal’ adjusted to this new addition. Urusla also provided us with some great tips that really made the whole process of introducing a new dog into the pack a painless exercise. It really was invaluable having her help with this. It is so good to have piece of mind in knowing that the dogs are safe, are enjoying an adventure with the other resident fur-friends, and are being looked after in a home much in the same way as they are when with us, as part of the family. We honestly cannot provide enough praise for Ursula and the ‘Love Your Pet Minding’ team, and wouldn’t trust leaving our dogs in the care of anyone else.

Photo of Crystal HeidiMy work requires me to travel interstate on a frequent basis and I’m usually away for a couple of days at a time. Heidi, our much loved 16 year old Pomeranian, is now near blind and hard of hearing and loves to spend endless hours sleeping quietly. She still loves her food and ‘slow’ walks.  Ursula has been a godsend, coming over on a daily basis when I am away, and caring for Heidi. Between the combined care given by Ursula and my daughter, I know Heidi gets the attention and care she needs when I am interstate. Should you be needing your pet cared for by a reliable pet minding service, I am happy to recommend Ursula and her range of services. Silvia Wright-Davies and Crystal, Rosanna Victoria
